The engineering challenge
The OEM needed a compact HMI that stayed readable under factory skylights and kept working on a line where downtime is measured in minutes. The previous panel washed out at 400 cd/m² and its touch controller drifted when the servo motors started.

02 / Solution
The validated solution
We moved the project to a 7-inch 1024 × 600 IPS panel with a 1,000 cd/m² backlight and an optical-bonded PCAP stack. Bonding removed the air gap that caused internal reflections, while a shielded FPC and a higher-SNR touch controller kept the interface stable during motor acceleration. The front assembly was sealed to IP65 with a custom gasket and the mounting frame was matched to the existing enclosure.
03 / Result
The project result
The revised assembly passed a 72-hour continuous run on the customer line with no touch errors. Field returns dropped below the customer target, and the panel entered mass production with a locked specification and a multi-year supply agreement.
Optical bonding and shielding solved the readability and noise problems together, not separately.
